High Pressure Xenon Research in the INPA Division at LBNL
There are two isotopes of Xenon primarily used for particle physics
research. One isotope is suited to Neutrinoless Double-Beta decay
research; the other is suitable for Dark Matter research.
Xenon of the right density produces tracks with minimal diffusion
resulting in measurements with good energy resolution.
The following institutions are collaborating in this high pressure
xenon research:
Lawerence Berkeley National Laboratory lead by David Nygren and Azriel
Goldschmidt
University of Texas ?? lead by ???
